MELISSA, TEXAS - A defending state champion from Arkansas will try its luck against one of the best schools in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex.
Little Rock Parkview, the defending Class 5A state champions from Arkansas, travels to the gleaming and spacious Kenny Deel Stadium in Melissa to take on the Cardinals on Saturday night.
The two teams will face off at 7:30 p.m.

LITTLE ROCK PARKVIEW 27, MELISSA 20 (FINAL)
POSTGAME
- Little Rock Parkview QB Quentin Murphy, an Arkansas commit, was 7-of-14 passing for 50 yards and also had 65 rushing yards on 14 carries and a TD. Monterrio Elston rushed for 158 yards on 13 carries with two TDs. Melissa QB Noah Schuback completed 12-of-27 passes for 212 yards and three TDs, with receiver Jacob Nye making all three TD catches, hauling in eight receptions for 159 yards.
- Little Rock Parkview gets two big-play TD runs from Kansas State commit Monterrio Elston and a pick-six from Oklahoma commit Omarion Robinson to survive Melissa on the road. The Patriots had 366 total yards in the game (277 rushing, 89 passing, while the Cardinals had 305 yards of total offense (93 rushing, 212 passing).
FOURTH QUARTER
- Parkview converges on a sack and knocks the ball loose, and the Patriots' Chris Edwards makes the recovery with 1:27 left. The Patriots are going to survive this one.
- Parkview is called for defensive holding. First down Melissa to the Parkview 21 with 1:32 left.
- Fourth-and-2 for Melissa at the Parkview 36. QB Noah Schuback finds Jacob Nye again. First down to the Parkview 31. Clock under two minutes.

- Parkview tries a pass on fourth down, but it falls incomplete. Melissa takes over with 2:25 to play.
- This time, Melissa gets a third-down stop. Parkview has a fourth-and-4 from the Cardinal 26 with 2:30 left. Melissa uses its final time out.
- Another third down play for Parkview, pass goes incomplete. But Melissa is penalized for unsportsmanlike conduct, and the Patriots get an automatic first down at the Cardinal 32 with 3:32 left.
- Parkview converts again on third down as Monterrio Elston takes a run past midfield. Clock under five minutes.

THIRD QUARTER
- Melissa is inside the Parkview 10 as the third quarter comes to a conclusion.
- Melissa finally with a bit of momentum as Noah Schuback launches a deep throw to Jacob Nye, who takes it down to the Parkview 20.
- Parkview's defense is really stepping it up here. Patriots just forced another Melissa punt. Everything going Parkview's way right now, up two TDs with 4:31 left in the third.
- PICK-SIX TOUCHDOWN LR PARKVIEW: Parkview safety and Oklahoma commit Omarion Robinson steps in front of a receiver to pick off a pass and takes it 40 yards to the house. PAT gives the Patriots a 14-point advantage (LR Parkview, 20-6 | 5:59, 3rd)

- LR Parkview had 251 yards of total offense in the first half (169 rushing; 82 passing). Quarterback Quentin Murphy was 5-of-9 passing for 82 yards and added 66 yards rushing on eight carries and a TD.
SECOND QUARTER
- Melissa advances to the Parkview 25 but the clock runs out as the Cardinals are out of time outs. Parkview takes a seven-point lead into the break.
- Melissa moves the chains as QB Noah Schuback lunges forward on a fourth-and-short keeper. FIrst down near midfield with 18 seconds left.
- Parkview punts it away with 42 seconds left in the half. Melissa has the ball at its own 24 and it looks like the Cardinals want to try something here.
- Parkview forces a Melissa punt and the Patriots have the ball near midfield seeking to score again with a minute left.
- TOUCHDOWN LR PARKVIEW: Just 12 seconds later, Parkview goes back in front as Kansas State commit Monterrio Elston takes a jet sweep 68 yards to the house. The Patriots also make the PAT kick (LR Parkview, 13-6 | 2:03, 2nd)
- TOUCHDOWN MELISSA: The Cardinals get on the scoreboard as QB Noah Schuback throws a deep pass which lands right in the hands of WR Jacob Nye for a 49-yard TD. But the Cards miss the PAT and we remain tied (6-6 | 2:15, 2nd)
